No. GeosIndex.com is a free product selection tool. For information on better using the site, please see this short instructional video.
To learn about submitting product data to GeosIndex.com and applicable participation rates and requirements, please review the Product Data Submission brochure (PDF).
GeosIndex seeks annual updates to the material data. Also, participating companies may submit updates at any time during the year.
GeosIndex is reviewed by numerous industry experts in the relevant materials markets. These reviewers represent independent testing laboratories, past and current international standards committee participants, manufacturers, and other specialists. As tests become standardized and the data becomes available throughout the field, those values are added to/updated on the site. While GeosIndex has launched with only ASTM-related data, ISO and CEN-related tests and data are planned.
Participating companies select which products they want to list. These companies are solely responsible for the accuracy of their reported data.
Yes. GeosIndex is designed to adapt to the field’s needs. More types of information, such as for geosynthetics installation/welding equipment, are planned. If you have particular materials/services you would like to find, we welcome your suggestions. Contact David Cabrera, firstname.lastname@example.org.
GeosIndex.com is here to support engineers, contractors and others utilizing and learning about geosynthetics. We welcome your technical questions and comments on the website and in regards to geosynthetics. We routinely help agencies and specifiers around the world on finding the right companies from which to seek project bids and information on the availability of materials. Furthermore, we welcome your inquiries regarding related products and services (e.g., welding equipment, testing, CQA/CQC, leak location surveys, engineering, installation/fabrication, etc.). Our larger global network is here to help.
Finally, GeosIndex’s publisher, www.geosynthetica.net, offers news, case studies, technical information and other geosynthetics resources.
Yes. GeosIndex users have numerous options for downloading and printing the data. Exportable Excel spreadsheets are available on every data page. Links to individual product specification sheets from the manufacturer may be downloaded (when provided by the manufacturer) by clicking on the product name in data tables. Additional information and data sheets may be available on each company’s page. Click on a company’s name in the data tables or visit the Companies page for extended information about each company on GeosIndex.

GeosIndex is a unique tool used to identify, compare and select geosynthetics that meet your project design and specification needs. The user-friendly tools, such as customizable, comparative data tables, help engineers, contractors, facility operators and other professionals identify the right, qualifying materials. Geosynthetic data here includes Drainage Materials, Erosion Control Products, Geotextiles, Geomembranes, Geogrids, Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) and other geo-products from manufacturers and distributors around the world.
Geosindex.com is a product of Geosynthetica.net. Established in 1999 and with 300,000+ users annually, Geosynthetica is now the world's leading online source for information on geosynthetics.
In the past 40 years, geosynthetic materials have entered every segment of civil engineering and have helped modernize infrastructures. Geosynthetics reduce the carbon footprint of construction activities, lower infrastructure costs, provide critical environmental protection, and extend the active service lives of installations from reservoirs to roads and landfills to levees. For material data, engineering opportunities, project stories, and more, utilize Geosindex and Geosynthetica.
